The big question is can we get back our youthful skin? When life has taken its toll and our face wears like the lines we've had to cross, the cracks we've had to step on and the hard roads we've had to travel! Then one day we look in the mirror and say wow, where was that face that used to be me?

You see, it's not all lost, you have entered a time where life did not take you out, and you can still be counted in. Reflect on all your accomplishments, the people you've loved, nurtured, and taken care of, the lives you've changed/touched because you were here on this earth to make a difference for them.

Mindset can change your life? Be more determined than ever to achieve, it's never too late to pursue what eluded you because life got in the way. If you are mentally weak work on daily affirmations that will make you strong, I say "be older and bolder"! You can defy your age, by taking hold and be bold!

Ah, but we still have our bodies to contend with! It's never too late to exercise, however, caveat is don't take up Zumba or hard cardio if you haven't worked out or exercised in a long time. Take it slow and steady, better than fast and hurt, then you'll really have to take it slow!

Getting back to the face issue, you have to love who you are. When you look in the mirror you have to like that person under your skin and learn to be grateful too!  What has made me like my face now days is the age defying night cream Nerium. They say "give Nerium a year and it will give you back ten years!" Well, I am the brand-trend tester, or as I joke "the crash test dummy” for all that is trending. But all joking aside, it has boldly taking my skin where it has never gone before. As far as my spirit, I’m free of encumbrances and obligations, and that is a place I have earned with love. Not hurting anyone, and living a life of principal and integrity, working towards the ideal and to making it real.

I take all the aforementioned, and work to live a life of purpose, to defy the stereo type of getting old to getting bold. Earning my wings in this life has not been easy, but now that I have, I can fly like a free spirit, ready, willing and able to see how I can continue to make a difference buy being bolder and older!

Spirit of Leadership Guidance and Relationship Marketing

LEADERSHIP: Guidance, is what we all seek in life and so too with business opportunities. For me the Torch is a symbol of lighting a path for others and the person holding the torch is our guide. In business we are lead down so many paths, because we want to believe. Good leadership is not just holding a torch, but being the steward to guide and truly lead them to water of opportunity to quench their thirst. Age Defying Beautiful - Mind, Body, Spirit and Purpose

 

According to a Larry Copeland of USA Today, a new government report, Americans are living longer as death rates fall. With rates dropping for all other leading causes of death. Although suicide rates have reached its highest pinnacle in 25 years, although it’s not clear why.  My strong guess is, it’s the Crash of 2008, people losing their houses, income, and retirement.

Bringing our life expectancy to gender, women take heart, for the news fares a little better for us, a little worse for men. Life expectancy for females is 81.2 years; for males, it's 76.4 years. The difference from 2011 of 4.8 years is the same.

What does that mean for us new seniors, in a world that judges more for beauty than for brains? Well it means that we are treated differently, and as women we can’t compete with the 20 year olds nor should we. We have our own worth for what we have experienced in life, gained in wisdom and knowledge and our accomplishments as people, professionals, wives and mothers. We truly run the gamut of life roles, but if we live in a society that doesn’t appreciate our years, then we need to appreciate ourselves.

There is nothing at all wrong, with wanting to say “I defy my age and I want to live longer, stronger and be more beautiful than I was at the age of 20.” So how do we do that, well if we live in a “beauty is only skin deep society” we can either sit back with our wrinkles and say it’s OK, or we can defy the stereo type of being older by being bolder and better.

MIND: By being confident, and using your mind, take up the classes, hobbies or go back to school and start a career that you never had before. Now that you’ve earned your independence, use it for you! Basically, it’s staking a claim, to take the reins on our lives as I call us “young seniors.” They say you lose what you don’t use, well, it’s no different for our brain power, and we are at odds with technology that figures everything out to a point where we can’t remember simple math equations.

BODY: Exercise, I waited until I was a young senior before I started investing in my physical wellbeing, with swimming, light weights and walking. Maybe even belly or hula dancing, would be fun as well. My point is take up a physical activity, you’ve got to be active or let your body decline further. Plus it helps reverse our body parts that are determined to head south for the winter.  

SPIRIT: First and foremost be at peace in your heart, discard all the old baggage or hurt and disappointment, know that we tried our best to do the right thing, and you did better than most by doing so. Practice your faith, spirituality, pray or meditate, having a belief system in a higher power of good, helps me to make it through each day.

PURPOSE: Finally find a cause or a purpose when I think of the oldest seniors in the world, they were in Tibet from 103 to 112 years old if I recall correctly. But the most profound message that documentary gave me was these seniors had a purpose every day they went out and back packed their needs, water, firewood, etc. We in America however, have taken the purpose out of being a senior and institutionalized us instead. So if you want to avoid that purposeless plateau where we are to be sent then start working on your mind, body, spirit and purpose.

Ok no one else wants to admit it, but every other business person I've met are all pursuing other lines and multiple lines of alternative income. The buck starts here and let me share with you the why:

MISSION: I started real estate with an intent to do good, help people, and make a positive difference. Business with a purpose was and is the best way I can describe my philosophy. Secondly, is to be caring, about many causes, human struggles and our world. OK, so you want to know why achieving age defying beautiful for me and others is important? It's simple, age has no mercy on our face and on our lives either. We reach a pivotal point of finally have to invest in ourselves inside and out, and achieve longevity or inevitably of an early curtain call!
